Ray is a birth doula with a background in public health and healthcare. She holds a Master’s in Demography & Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where her research focused on maternal health. She has spent several years working in healthcare in patient care coordination and population health. That work showed her how much it matters for families to feel heard and supported as they move through the healthcare system. Ray speaks English and Spanish and believes in care that sees and supports the whole person.
As a doula, Ray brings a warm, steady, and affirming presence to birth. Her approach is rooted in deep listening, meeting families where they are, and helping birthing people feel informed, supported, and confident in their choices. Ray hopes to be a grounding person in the room: someone families can lean on, ask questions of, laugh with, and feel fully themselves around.
Outside of birth work, you can usually find Ray cooking, biking around the city, or whittling wooden spoons.
