The following packages are designed for clients seeking personalized, one-on-one support working directly with Gina Valo. Each package is intentionally structured to allow for additional time, flexibility, and space for deeper connection and thoughtful preparation tailored to each client’s unique needs.
This work is part of a broader commitment to community care through a cross-subsidy model. The purchase of a private package directly funds doula support for local community members who might not otherwise have access. By choosing to work with Gina in this way, clients are not only investing in their own experience—they’re also contributing to more equitable support for families in the District of Columbia.
*The Experienced package is only available to returning clients or new clients who have given birth vaginally within the last 7 years.

Birth packages have been carefully crafted to build a trusted relationship and ensure clients (and partners!) are fully prepared. These can be combined with an additional support bundle to create a custom package based on your individual needs.
Our package pricing is reflective of our cross-subsidy model. Choosing to work with Gina privately will directly enable doula services for a member of the community who would otherwise not have access. We are so grateful for the private clients that choose to work with us as a way of supporting their neighbors and engaging in a more equitable distribution of resources for birthing families.
BirthingKind is a small business with limited administrative support. Upfront payment helps us to work more efficiently. However, we understand that this might not be possible for all clients and we’re happy to discuss alternative arrangements as needed.
Yes! We are happy to help you upgrade to include additional services at any time.
We understand that this journey can be unpredictable and plans can change for a multitude of reasons. We are happy to help you switch to a Planned Cesarean package up to 37 weeks, which is the point at which your on-call window begins. If plans change after this point, Gina will be happy to help you adjust your plan and make sure you’re prepared for any path you choose.
While Gina prefers to focus her training and skillset on supporting the birthing process, she will occasionally provide emergency postpartum support to clients on request. We strongly recommend exploring postpartum support options directly with our fellow Community Doulas, Alyssa Coss, Allyson Winburn, Phelicia Cyrus, and Rose Mwobobia.
